winter
Well January is about over. February is a very short month...then comes March...oh I can not wait till March...it may take till July to melt away the remaines of winter but March will bring with it the first smell of spring...I am waiting for March....If we get more snow we may not be able to get off our road either...Wo with winter dragging on and on and on...I think I will go back to bed. |

Annual precipitation reports indicate that February and March are two of our heaviest snowfall months - sorry you will have to wait just a touch longer. Perhaps by the end of March, you will smell spring in the air - however, I did have a hydrologist come in and measure the water content of the snow at the HITWRA. From his analysis the floor of the area can expect 5 - 6 inches of water from the meltdown, from the ascending bluffs and upland area, an additional 10 - 12 inches can expected and classified as run off which will place 15 to 18 inches of water into the area , however, if we recieve additinal moisture from our annual spring rains, those projected water heights can be expected to increase an aditonal 6 to 8 inches, due primarily to run off. In a nut shell, we may be able to add water skiing to our event list at the HITWRA this spring.
By going back to bed, you missed the nicest day wwe have had since July 6th! Ity was even nice to low out today with the sun beaming through my open truck windows so I could hear the birds chirping - I think I saw a flock of cranes heading north but they may have been crows.
YEAH, BABY! That's what I'm talkin' about! Water skis! Keep the mind open!
Water skiing... with the way I picked up snow boarding it should be a snap!
A hydologist huh? Someone who studies water...wow did not know they made house calls except to test the purity of your well....guess thats why you took him to the HITWRA could maybe we could route that water to your well....then we would have dry and you would have water in the well for our showers.
