Where are all the birds coming from?

Man I go to bed at a decent hour and wake up to find my father has been eaten by an Eagle...someone needs to talk to the Homer Mayor...seems his eagle problem has gone beyond poop on the roof tops and cars.... My son is no longer a buffalo and he has to take his family with him...now this is a good choice...but "wood peckers"??? Do you not see the problem with this...I will have a hard time teaching Nataly that she is NOT ALLOWED to "knock on the wood" with a hammer...despite her clan title. and you have just given Josh an "excuse" to be tappping his mating song all night long on any wooden structure he can find...glad your house is so close by.
This title will brode well with Crystal as she is pretty good at "pecking holes" in Josh's hard head when he acts like a man....but baby Riley??? Okay she does kind of look like a little red headed warbler........(I think that word had two b's in it)....I will just have to teach her to sing instead of "knocking"....All in all that is a grand title for the kids...(man I am getting old, if I refer to my adult children as kids....what do you refer them as father?)....my only question is...What about the "fishing abilities" of the wood pecker...I read all clan titles are based on fishing abilities...so where is the rest of the story?????

The vision that I described in my proclamation actually occured, just as I described it. Dutch and I was sitting there, resting my leg and off in the distance I heard this "woodpecker", the vision was real. The bright red hair of two memebers of this clan had nothing to do with it? I still refer to my children as kids - they will always be kids despite how fast their biological clocks are ticking!

Pertaining to your question about the "fishing ability" of the woodpecker. This was taken into consideration following the vision, in researching this specie, I discovered that the original woodpecker was actually a "shore bird", which is the reason for the long legs and bill. This "bird" seldom does any fishing at this time but likes to fly around fishing areas and associate with other fishing birds. Originally, when the woodpecker was a shore bird, because of the size and strength of the bill it was more suitable as a clam digger as it could penetratre the shell of the clam and suck out the sweet nector. However, as a fisher bird it failed because of the sharp beak. It would penetrate the fish, however, not having a "hooked bill" the fish would slide off the bill and be lost. All good birds that fish for a living have a hooked beak. A word that man adopted when he invented the fish hook. Nearing extinction because of it's poor fishing abilities, the woodpecker moved to the trees where the sharp beak would penetrate the hard wood in order to swallow up the little insects that hide under the bark. The "woodpecker" should be a great addition as a "wood collector" for the fire pit. P.S. your word verification for this posting is sofar, you are so far away!

I too was thinking about woodpeckers this morning...before all of this. It is nice to hear all the birds again.

The "red crested" pecker clan... I wonder what ever will thier formal garb be?

Hiney, you be nice to my son. I don't care if he is not blood he is still my son. Your durogitory comments are completely unnecessary. Do you just need to pick on somebody since you are a smoker in denial?
