Not sure how maps are researched but this one needs help...

Map image
Did something happen to the river???  Seems those Beavers have been damning things up since we were down south last...or maybe Anchor Point is building their own "fishing hole."

Hope Every one had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Day...was glad to see my brother Dutch, his friends, and the parents...Even though I was pretty tired from no sleep on Christmas Eve and busy in the kitchen quite a bit of the Day on Christmas...I would not have had it any other way.  I played no poker therefore I did not lose...and I bowled a pretty good game of Wii bowling...but I did not need to play...it was wonderful hearing the noise of happy people fill my home.  and the best part...we enjoyed each other so much we almost forgot the presents under the tree....almost!  LOL...

Thank you to all who came and enjoyed my Christmas with me...it was the best gift anyone could have gotten me.

I do agree with yu about the maps, that is why "Suzy" has such a tough time on the Peninsula, she knows wehere we are at by GPS but when she matches us up to the map in her memory bank, we are normally in some muskeg or even Cook Inlet. Someone does need to up date Alaskan maps. That is sure a cute puppy - but if he shows up at the HITW dressed like that this spring, all of the other dogs are going to make fun of him, then it is going to cost you a lot of bucks to get him through conseling.

Didn't you hear? They have already, updated the maps, the new Anchor Point harbor has been granted the funds and they begin construction in the next few years.

That is not the new proposed harbor, that is the site of the new sea life park and eagle viewing area that the Chamber is working on. They want to bring is twenty sea lions, 33 seals and a handful of otters for the park. Putting it at the mouth of the old river, they figure they will not have to feed them during the summer months as enough salmon go up the Anchor river to provide plenty of feed.
